Eurodance is an electronic dance music genre that started in the early 90s. It uses several elements of House, Hi-NRG, Italo-Disco and Hip-Hop. One of the main characteristics of the style is the melodic vocals, which can either be heard on their own or surrounded by rap lyrics. The name Eurodance has gradually become intertwined with certain types of European music. It has been called "Euro-House" or "Euro-NRG"; but it has often been called "Dancefloor" or simply "Dance".
